The Graphic Design Process

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

The function of a logo is to establish an aesthetic that stands out and represents the core values that you are trying to convey to your current and potential clients. A truly successful logo will draw the eye and generate brand awareness. I always tell my clients that it is important to stay consistent with their branding. Changing logos periodically will show a lack of resolve and can suggest instability within the company. I think that it is essential to have a logo and website that you are proud to present. When people see your logo they will know that they right where they should be.

After developing the design concept with a client, I typically generate multiple logos that all share a common thread. This is mostly due to my creative process, but in many cases the client will be attracted to elements that I may not be anticipating during the design process. I always present multiple variations on a similar design and request feedback. This process has generated some of my most successful work. Collaboration and clear communication always stimulates a solid working relationship.

The Schmoopie Collection is a graphic art series that was presented during the Burlington Art Hop in 2020. This collection captures some of Seinfeld’s most iconic moments with a light hearted touch.
